working together

Firstly, if your pet has passed away, I’m so sorry for your loss. I will work with the best you have and take the utmost care.

Here are some steps that happen when working with me but it can vary per client.

1. We will work together to decide on the size of your portrait, if you prefer rectangular or a square format, and how deep the frame needs to be.

  • I am happy to advise on the best shape for your chosen reference photos if you are uncertain.

  • Consider where you plan to hang your pet’s portrait in your home or somewhere else and how much space it will take up.

2. Refer to my size guide and pricing on the Size Options page.

3. Contact me via email to get started.

  • If we have a lot of photos to discuss I can create a shared folder on Google that you can add photos to and I can comment and upload examples as well.

4. When you’re ready to get started, feel free to email me or call me, if we've chatted before.

5. After we agree on the size of your portrait, I will need 50% of the total to get started.

6. I will then send you an invoice with your pet's image on it, for your records and for billing.

7. Before I get started on your pet portrait, I will confirm all details with you.

  • This includes the size of the painting, frame depth, deliverable date, and customization.

  • If you wish to change the size and aspects of the painting at this point, that's perfectly okay but please let me know as soon as possible. This is to ensure that I can accommodate your preferences in the timeframe agreed on and the price.

8. If there is customization, I will send you a mockup sketch for your approval.

9. As I proceed and time allowing, I will send you progress images.

10. When complete, I will send an invoice with a small image of the painting attached to the invoice.

  • For delivery, I require the remaining 50% of the total to be received.

  • We can also discuss framing for an extra fee.

11. I will deliver the painting as agreed on.

  • If within the Atlanta area, we can arrange to meet somewhere central.

  • If your portrait needs to be mailed or shipped, it will be sent with tracking turned on, insurance, and signature requirement for delivery, so that you can have confidence that your portrait will reach you in perfect condition.

  • Portraits sent outside of the US may result in customs charges upon delivery into your country and there may be an extra fee to cover this. I don’t want your portrait to get stuck anywhere!

Thank you!
